Prayer Request

I received the message below from Tiffany Evans and ask you for urgent prayers for her health.  She has been through so much and is now in Cobb WellStar Hospital on oxygen due to Covid.  She needs her Hollydale family to pray for her big time!  Thank you.

Hello Susan:

It has been a medical nightmare for me and at this point i need prayers.

No sooner that I got over the bone infection and all 5 surgeries on September 3, Elena was diagnosed with Covid pneumonia and it took less than 48 for me to catch it…needless to say, I have been hospitalized 2 times, once at Kennestone and now I’m at Cobb Wellstar on Oxygen because I passed out and not breathing Friday for over 3 min and received damage to my heart -(Ischemia) Covid induced and yesterday I passed out and transported to the hospital.

I’ve been fighting hard to feel alive but it is hard - with healing from surgery and this - please pray 🙏🏻 for me. Love 💕 you all

Prayer Request

I know that my church family is a praying community and I am bringing to you a very special prayer request. I would like for you to say a prayer for Tommy Stephens. Tommy is a good friend. He is one who provides an uplifting message every morning reminding us to be thankful, be caring and to live life. When Mission Dawgs was first getting started, Tommy drove from Athens to the Varsity one Saturday morning to hang out with us and to be part of us. He said he also wanted to meet Famous Gene. Tommy was always reaching out to me during Gene's last few days. Well Tommy was t boned a few nights ago as he drove to work in Athens, Ga. He has some bleeding on the brain and other injuries. He has been on a ventilator and non responsive. The update last night was not good. The MRI had been postponed. The doctors tried to lower sedation but it didn't go well. He has significant swelling in his legs and knees. We are all so anxious for God to give healing and to have Tommy begin a recovery. Please pray for the doctors, nurses and hospital staff. I know that God is the great physician, the almighty healer and giver of miracles. I pray each day that Tommy is going to get better. Prayers for this sweet family.

Prayer Request

Please see Carole Shelburne’s request for prayers for her brother Chuck and his wife. Both have Covid and her sister-in-law is not expected to live. Pray for answers and miracles to happen for them. Thank you.

Susan please put my brother and sister-in-law in your prayers. I found out last night that they both have covid. My brother has a mild case as he had his shots. But my sister-in-law is not expected to live. Unfortunately she did not take the shots. They both are in their 80s and have been married since they were 17. As you can imagine it is very hard on Chuck. Please prayer warriors, pray long and hard for them.

Update

Please continue to keep Frank Bryant in your prayers as he recovers from his foot surgery. He is doing well but has a way to go before he’s healed from the toe removal. He was devastated to hear of Gail's accident and has been dealing with that as well. I spoke with him earlier today and he said to say thank you to the Hollydale folks for their prayers and hopes to come to church in the next few weeks. Thank you.

Because He’s Worthy

Greetings saints of HUMC!   This will be a unique Sunday as we worship in person but with a few changes.  Your Pastor will be away for a wedding in Seattle, Washington, so the order of worship will be as follows: Sunday school at the regular time.  At approximately 11:00 a.m. there will be an opening hymn, prayer concerns/praise reports, offering, message ( to be viewed on big screen together), then closing hymn.  Pastor Hull will bring a prerecorded message titled “Because He’s Worthy“  with scripture from Hebrews 13:1-8,15-16.

Be Blessed, Pastor Hull

Join us this Sunday for worship at 11:00 in-person. We will not have a live Facebook stream at 11:20, BUT the pastor’s prerecorded message will be uploaded to Hollydale’s Facebook page to air at 11:00 as well as be available on Hollydale’s website www.hollydaleumc.org.  God's message through Pastor Hull will be "Because He’s Worthy" and scripture reading from Hebrews 13:1-8, 15-16.

We miss those of you who haven’t returned to the sanctuary and look forward to seeing you very soon.  We always look forward to sharing this worship time with you whether in the pew or at home! Be safe and have a BLESSED day!

Prayer Request

Received the message below from Donna Parrish asking for prayers for her sister Pamela Howell. Please keep Pamela in your prayers as she travels this journey with her cancer struggles asking for comfort and peace for her and special prayers for her husband Marvin. Also, keep Donna and the rest of their family in your prayers as they love Pamela through this. Thank you.

Subject: asking for prayers

Hi, Susan. I request prayers for my family. My sister, Pamela Howell, has been diagnosed with cancer. She is being released from the hospital Saturday to hospice care. We don't know how much time Pam has left but we are counting each day as a gift. Her spirits are pretty good and the doctors are managing her pain. Thanks in advance for all who remember us in their prayers. This is especially hard for Pam's husband. So specials prayers for Marvin, please.

Yours in Christ,

Donna Parrish
