My grandmother was having chest tightness this afternoon. She was taken to kennestone in an ambulance and she did have a heart attack. Waiting to hear more from the cath lab.
I checked in with Carole Shelborne to see how she is doing after her procedure and below is her response. Praises she didn’t need a stint, but continued prayers for her medical concerns and that the medicine will address the problem. Thank you.
All is well with me. I don't have to have the stint and any problems will be addressed with medicine. I want to thank everyone for their prayers and the support I always get from our wonderful church family. I can't imagine living without all of you and the love and concern that I receive every time I have needed it
A special thank you to Miss Joyce.
Please keep my coworker’s father and brother in your prayers. Father’s name is Walter Dowdell and is now under Hospice care at home suffering with cancer. Brother is Keith Dowdell and he recently had a massive heart attack and is slow in recovering from it. Please also pray for Rhonda White, my coworker who is trying to work and be in Birmingham, AL as well to help her mother take care of her father as much as possible. Pray for comfort and healing as they go through this difficult time. Thank you.

An update from Gail Black on Paula Digby….. Please continue to pray for Paula and her family as she struggles and recovers from this accident. Thank you.
Paula will be in physical rehab for at least 2 weeks.
Donna has provided an update on Jeff Early’s condition. See below. Please continue to pray for healing for Jeff and his family. Thank you.
Susan, a few days ago I asked for prayers for Jeff Early who was found in his unconscious in his home and no one knew what had happened to him. The doctors have determined that Jeff suffered a massive stroke and a mild heart attack. Jeff has a long road of recovery and recuperation ahead of him. It is still touch and go about saving his arm and his kidney function has not improved but, in fact, has gotten worse. His family is very concerned about Jeff. Please continue to hold Jeff and his family in your prayers.

Please keep Gail Black’s daughter-in-law Paula and her family in your prayers. She was on a mission trip and a large tree limb fell on her. Below is a note that was received. Paula is in pretty serious condition. Please pray for healing and for the medical team taking care of her. Thank you.
Around 3pm Sunday Paula was stuck by a large branch falling from a tree. She was ambulated to a traumatic center in Fayetteville, AR for assessment. She had a crushed vertebrae, a chipped vertebrae, a fractured clavicle, and both eye sockets have fractures from the fall. Surgery is tomorrow, Wednesday. They'll be more info to follow, but for now please pray for full healing and restoration.
Joel is at Paula's side at the hospital, Gracie and Trinity are at the missions house continuing on with the work and learning...PTL.

Please hold Jeff Early and his family in your prayers. Donna Parrish shared the prayer request below regarding Jeff’s situation. Pray for answers and healing. Thank you.
Susan, I'd like to ask prayers for the cousin of a coworker of mine. His name is Jeff Early (No relation to my son-in-law that we are aware.). Jeff was found Saturday afternoon lying face down in his home. He doesn't know how he got there. The last he remembers he was in a bar on Friday evening. No one knows how Jeff got home or what happened to him. He lay on his arm so long there is major damage to the arm and doctors are unsure if they will be able to save it. Jeff is also experiencing some swelling in his brain and issues with his kidneys. Jeff is a heavy equipment operator so losing his arm would have a major effect on him being able to do his job. He is a kind and generous man and his family is very worried about him and asks we pray for his healing. The big hurdle right now is his arm. The doctors think the other issues will right themselves in time. Thank you all for your prayer on Jeff's behalf.

Jessie and i are both at Kaiser town park overnight. She has 3 kidney stones, hydronephrosis and borderline appendicitis. I was having chest pain, high WBC, and a slightly abnormal EKG. We are in adjoining rooms for tonight with more tests for both of us tomorrow morning. Me a nuclear stress test, her more imaging to see if she needs her appendix out soon or can wait. Just wanted you to know. We are OK at the moment. Wil let you know more as we do. Love you.

Thank you to everyone who has held my mother, Betty Garrette, and our family in your prayers. It was touch and go for a couple of days as to whether she was going to make it, but God is good. To update you on her, she suffered two “mini” strokes as the Neurologist explained to us, but the potential for more is very prominent as her carotid artery on the left side is 75-80% blocked and the surgery to stint it is extremely dangerous and risky. They will be treat it with medication in lieu of surgery. She was moved yesterday to a rehabilitation facility to help build her strength back up and work on her speech and mobility. We were told she should never live alone again and we will need to address her living arrangements once she is able to leave the rehab center. Please continue to keep her in your prayers, as well as those caring for her at NHC in Nashville. Thank you.

Mary Justice sent the message below regarding Cohen’s heart condition.
I have a special request for cards this morning. For an 8 year old little boy named Cohen. Cohen is the son of Amy Cannon who is a good friend of Beth's from high school. She was one of Beth's bridesmaids. Cohen has had heart issues for a few years now. He has to be careful of exercise as he tires really easy. He has a big brother, Will who is 12.
Amy and I were planning on going to Fan Fest in a couple of weeks, but Cohen's health has gotten worse. His SVT episodes are becoming more frequent. Not a good situation. Amy is hopeful to get him to Boston for medical treatment. So our plans of course have changed.
Please pray for God to strengthen little Cohen. Pray for peace and comfort for Amy and his older brother. Pray that God will provide a way to get this little fellow the medical treatment he needs.
I know he would love to get some cards. Also cards for Amy. She is a sweetheart always caring for others.
Their address is:
Amy Cannon
17 Eagle Pointe Drive
Dallas Ga 30132.
Thanks
Please keep Willie Sanford in your prayers as he will undergo hip replacement surgery today at 2:30 pm. Please be in prayer also for the treating physicians and staff and for Cheryl as she cares for Willie. Thank you.
Hi all,
As some of you have heard, the island of Mindanao, the large island in the southern Philippines, is currently under martial law. The president of the Philippines declared martial law for Mindanao for 60 days following a terrorist attack earlier this week in Marawi, a city in Mindanao which is several hours from Davao (the main city that we go to frequently, which is also on Mindanao). Thank you so much to all of you who have prayed for us and for Mindanao. We are all fine and safe, and actually, as far as we can tell at this point, things in Davao are not much different than they were before martial law was declared. Unfortunately, the terrorist group is still causing problems in Marawi, which the Philippine authorities are trying to handle. Almost 100 people -- some civilians and several militants -- have been killed in that city. Again, thank you so much for your prayers, and we would really appreciate your continued prayers for this region and for all of the Philippines. We believe the Lord has amazing plans for Mindanao and for this nation! :)
My newsletter for May is attached here. I hope you all are doing well and that you are experiencing the peace and presence of the Lord!
Many blessings on you all!
