Prayer Request

From Susan Davis:

My daughter Kristen asked for prayer for her Aunt Sue Ridinger and her family. Below is her message regarding Sue’s mother and sister. Prayers for comfort and healing. Thank you.

Will you send out a prayer request for Sue Ridinger and family? (Uncle Phil's wife). Her mother passed away from Covid over the weekend. Also, Sue's sister (Carol King) has Covid and is not doing very well. She has underlying lung issues and they're not sure of her prognosis yet. They just found out about her sister yesterday.

Prayer Request

Please be in prayer for Melissa Wheeler Black and her family. Melissa’s granny passed away today and she posted the message below.

Today was a hard day… I lost my favorite person… my Granny. Everyone called her Granny, even in the middle of a memory care unit where everyone was a “granny”. She’s one of the reasons I’m this sassy and confident. It is very difficult to see a loved one be slowly taken by dementia. I’m very thankful for her love and support and I will miss her very much. ❤️

Prayer Request

From Susan Davis:

Please keep my daughter Kristen Ridinger in your prayers.  Kristen has been dealing with problems in her hips and knees and recently went to a orthopedic doctor to see what the problem is.  They did x-rays and said her knees were fine, but her hips are not.  They diagnosed her with Avascular Necrosis and said she would require a double hip replacement within the next year or two. Basically a bone has trauma and is not getting blood supply and has died, so it's bone on bone in her hip area.   The doctor  indicated this is quite common in young adults between 30 and 50 years old.  We are going tomorrow for a follow up visit to see what her next steps will be and when surgery might be possible.  Pray for answers, comfort and healing for her as she's hurting all the time.    Thank you.

Prayer Request

From Susan Davis:

Please keep my sister Nena Kelly and her family in your prayers. My brother-in-law David has been in ICU on a respirator for several days and they have been told he will not recover and would have to spend the rest of his life on the respirator and undergo dialysis to stay alive. They have made the decision to remove the respirator and say their goodbyes. They have three children along with spouses and grandchildren. David is 70 years old and has suffered with COPD and emphysema for a few years. Thank you for your prayers. Prayers for comfort and peace in the decision they have made.

Update

Update on Nancy Brubaker

An update my dad posted regarding my mom for those who are asking:

A Nancy Smith Brubaker update:

After a MRI to assess Nancy’s neck injuries, she was transported to the University of Cincinnati medical center for surgical intervention.

A plate will be used to stabilize the fractured C2 vertebrae to either or both the C1 and C3vertebrae as the C2 anterior ligament was torn and has limited accessibility for repair.

I have spoken with two of the attending residents who will be in attendance to observe the procedure. ( No touching!) I have not seen the orthopedic surgeon as of yet but have assessed his credentials and reviews. (Stephen Agabegi) The surgery has been assigned as an add-on which means, whenever a time slot opens. The procedure will take 2-3 hours. Unsure of the recovery time or time before travel to home. More prayers requested for good outcome and pain management.

Prayer Request

Please keep Gail Black’s sister Mary in your prayers. Gail sent the message below regarding her sister’s struggles. Pray for comfort and healing. Thank you.

Mary has Bone marrow cancer. She will get blood transfusions and start Chemo This Thursday or Friday. She is on oxygen and also has a fractured left hip. Thanks for continued prayers for Mary, her husband Bill and their family.

Prayer Request from Susan Davis

Please keep my brother in law, David Kelly, in your prayers. He was taken by ambulance this morning due to his COPD and emphysema and is in ICU in Columbus. The doctor told my sister, who can’t be at the hospital due to Covid rules, that he went into cardiac arrest but he was able to revive him. Prayers for David, the medical team and my sister for answers and healing. Thank you.

Prayer Request

From Susan Davis:

Please keep Alicia Whitley (aka Aunt Sissy to my daughter). She has worked for a very prominent home building supply company for 25-30 years in their corporate accounting department. An announcement was recently sent out that the company was reorganizing and most of the accounting functions will be moved to India and she may lose her job, but won’t know until after the first of the year. This is very scary for her as this is the only job she’s had since finishing school. She is interviewing tomorrow to try and obtain a position to stay with the company. She asked for prayers for the situation and that God protects her and allows her to stay with the company. Thank you.

Prayer Request

From Susan Davis

Please keep my friend Kim Clements and her family in your prayers. Kim’s husband and a very close friend of mine, Harry, passed away early this morning after almost of a decade of battling Alzheimer’s. Harry was 74 years old. I worked with Harry for 30+ years as he was our CFO and Partner at my company and a mentor to me in my career. He retired in 2013,and then he and Kim moved to Gulf Shores to enjoy life at the beach. He was a highly respected partner and businessman with a kind heart and was truly dedicated to his career and family. Please pray for comfort and peace for Kim and her two adult children, Chris & Alexandra, as they travel through this time of grief. Thank you.
