Update

Update on Cindy Northrop from Carole. Please continue to keep Cindy (and Carole) in your prayers as they continue through this difficulty journey. Thank you.

Susan I have an update on Cindy following her pet scan. There is some new cancer detected on her bones. The Dr says it isn't too bad and she will not have to take iv kemo. However they are changing her meds to include a kemo that is given by injection. She has to get over the virus infection before they will start the new treatment. They are giving her two weeks for that. Thank you all for your prayers 🙏 ❤ and love. Couldn't have gotten this far without you.

I received the update below from Sharon Kirby on her brother and sister-in-law. Please continue to keep them both in your prayers as they battle their medical issues. Pray for the medical team caring for them and for comfort and healing. Thank you.

My brother is doing better, but he is still in ICU and listed as critical. My sister-in-law is somewhat better now (she was taken by ambulance back to the regional hospital 🏥 n Sunday). They hope to move her to rehab soon. Prayers are still needed. Thank Sharon

Update

Update to prayer request….

Beth’s heart was fine and her BP slowly went down. No BP meds prescribed at this time. All test they did were normal, except some lung issues from being a smoker in her earlier life, which they referred her to a pulmonary doctor. Thanks to all who prayed.

Please keep my son Paul’s girlfriend Beth in your prayers. She got up this morning with tightness in her chest snd tingling arms. Paramedics were called and she is at Cobb Wellstar being checked out. Her BP was extremely high at 254 / 100 something. It has dropped to 159/85 which is getting better but a scary and dangerous situation for her. Prayers for answers. Thank you.

I received the message below from Sharon Kirby regarding her brother and sister-in-law.  Please keep them in your prayers as they battle Covid and the pneumonia that her brother has developed.  Prayers for comfort, healing and the medical team caring for them both.  Thank you.

Susan,

I found out today that my brother has been admitted to a regional hospital for double pneumonia as a result of COVID.   My sister-in-law is in ER, but is not as serious. Neither have had their vaccines. Please offer prayers for them.

For anyone who can, but have not received your COVID vaccine, please reconsider it.

Update

Update on Melissa’s mother Donna……Please continue to keep her and the family in your prayers. Thank you.

Update: My mom has small cell lung cancer. This is not a type that is diagnosed in stages but if it has metastasized or not. She has one more scan on Thursday to confirm, but it is optimistic that it has not spread. She will get a port on Wednesday followed by chemo and immunotherapy next Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday. The doctor is aggressively fighting with 7 medicines per treatment. She will have three weeks off and treatments again for 3 days in a row.

I appreciate all the love and prayers from Hollydale.

Subject: Prayer Request

Susan: Please pass this along to the faithful Hollydale Prayer Warriors!

It was so good to see everyone and be “home” at church a few weeks ago. I couldn’t stop crying from happiness and the love I felt while with my Atlanta family.

It’s my SC family that needs prayers this week. After an ER visit, a mass was discovered in my mom’s lung (Donna). She is having a biopsy on Thursday morning (10/21). The doctor believes he will find stage 3 lung cancer. He also thinks it will be treatable with a strong fight. She is ready for that fight, but we are still waiting to know exactly what we are dealing with. He husband is currently fighting mesothelioma so that is quite a bit for one household.

And then there’s Granny (Miriam). The time has come to place Granny in a facility that can give her more help than we are able to give. I have been visiting Memory Care centers and we should be ready to move forward next week. I pray for a smooth transition for all of us!

And then there is me. I am taking the Professional Engineers Exam tomorrow (10/20). This is my second try and I don’t feel prepared as I have been preoccupied lately. The test is 8 hours and will consume my day tomorrow. Staying calm but ready for it to be over.

And Aunt Jo and Paige are going through this with us so we could all use some good thoughts.

Many thanks for the prayers and love from my Hollydale family!
