Please continue to hold Caroline Hooker, my son-in-law’s grandmother, in your prayers. A lesion was found several days ago on the front of her brain that is bleeding and it is inoperable. They are moving her to Tranquility this afternoon for 24/7 care. Once they get her stabilized, they will attempt to get her home for home hospice healthcare. They have told her family she probably only has a week or two left. Please pray for comfort for the family as they care for Caroline during this very difficult time. She is the backbone of that family. Thank you.

Please keep Caroline Hooker, my son-in-law’s grandmother, in your prayers. Caroline has been having some problems recently with her hands, forgetfulness and dementia type incidences. She fell in her laundry room and her son took her to the emergency room thinking she may have a concussion from her fall. The hospital did a CT scan and found lesions on her brain. She has been admitted to Wellstar Cobb Hospital for further testing. Please pray for answers, comfort and healing, as well as for her children and grandchildren as they are very concerned about Mawmaw. Thank you.

My brother-in- law Bill Watkins is out of surgery and doing well. Thanks for continued prays for adjustments and healing.
Please be in prayer for Gail Draper. Gail fell yesterday and broke her leg and messed up her knee. She is in traction for her knee and was scheduled for surgery on her broken leg today. She is at Cobb Kennstone Hospital. Please pray for comfort and healing, as well as for the medical team taking care of her. Thank you.
Thank you for your thoughts and prayers for my daughter. She was discharged from the hospital Sunday afternoon. She did not require the transfusion, but her blood count did fluctuate up and down which concerned the medical team. Once it went back up and remained stable, they were okay with not giving her blood. The ultrasound didn’t show anything significant in her digestive track, so she just needs to take care of herself, eat better and not drink. She was very happy to be going home before Christmas. Please continue to keep her in your prayers as she recovers at home. Thank you and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Please keep my daughter Kristen Ridinger in your prayers. Kristen has been in the hospital since Thursday morning with acute pancreatitis. They have feeding her fluids, potassium, magnesium, etc etc to bring her levels back in balance and are running several test and she may possibly need a blood transfusion as of this morning. Please pray for answers, comfort and healing. She's been struggling a lot lately with life in general, over working, marital struggles, not eating right, drinking. All that contributes to stress on your body and mind. Pray that God gives her strength to know her choices have been what has put her where she is today and that God, counseling and guidance through issues in life can be balanced by making better choices. Pray for the medical team at Kennestone as well as they continue to care for her. They have all been great. Yes, you can pray for her momma too. Thank you.
Please be in prayer for the family of Steven Anderson. Steven committed suicide on Wednesday and his mother, Natalie sent me a message late last night. Many may remember Steven was a young man in his early 30's who I became friends with through my son's own struggles and he and I wrote letters to each other over a couple of years and I shared my love for God and he shared his struggles with God with me. I contacted his mother at one point and took her to see him in prison after they hadn't talked in 3 years. She had no means of transportation to travel the distance. God put all that together. My heart is sad today. I pray that Steven is now at peace as he struggled with a lot over his young life and I pray that he did realize that God loved him, even when he didn't want to accept it. Pray for Natalie and her family as they deal with the tragedy of his death. Thank you.
Please keep this family in your prayer. Pastor April forwarded the information below about their terrible struggle right now. Prayers also for the medical team attending to Leigh and Van and as mentioned below the parents are in a very fragile state, so only God can heal them and guide the doctors on how best to treat them. Pray for the children (Ava & Piers) as they struggle with not being able to talk to their parents and understand the complexity and seriousness of this terrible tragedy. Thank you.
Please pray for a family here in Marietta, Georgia. I don’t know them personally, but they are in need of lots of prayers on their behalf. The mother and father (Leigh and Van) where involved in a terrible accident a couple months ago and have been in the hospital fighting for their lives. They were out in their back yard enjoying their outside gas grill and for some unknown reason the gas grill exploded and burned Leigh and Van over 75% on their bodies. Their children (Ava and Piers) were not outside with them, so they are safe. Unfortunately, the children’s’ lives have been turned upside down, due to their parents health issues. The doctor’s have had to keep Leigh and Van sedated, so they don’t feel the pain of their injuries. The children have been staying with relatives and have not been able to talk with their parents yet. It is a terrible tragedy.
Anyway, If you could pass this informationon for prayers for this family, I know that only God can heal Leigh and Van. They are in a fragile health status, so only God can heal them and guide the doctors on how best to treat them.
Mary Justice, who has been involved in helping the homeless for the past few years, sent the request below for those that can help this holiday season.
Jason Winter (Hope thru Soap) is doing his annual backpack blessings this year. The goal is 300 backpacks for the folks on the street.
If anyone would like to donate a backpack or two that would be fantastic and I know Jason would be appreciative and the folks would have a smile on their face.
SUGGESTED ITEMS FOR THE BACKPACK:
Scarfs, toboggans, gloves, hand warmers, socks, tooth brush, tooth paste, hand wipes, blanket, shampoo, deodorant, combs, hygiene items, maybe a paperback book, little notepads, pens or pencils, some non perishable snacks, and a bottle of water. If anyone wants to do a ladies backpack, just add some feminine products.
Also for a child, add coloring or activity books, crayons and bubbles.
The backpacks can be brought to the church no later than the 2nd Sunday in December, I will gather them and deliver. Just place them in the back of the church.
Vachel Fernandez sent the message below and asked for prayers and support if you are willing to help. Susan my heart is heavy this morning. Please send this to our church family.
I want to start off by telling you there will be grammatical errors but here my heart. I woke up this morning around 6:00 and received a text. It was a friend I hadn’t talked to in a while. She proceeded to tell me she is having thoughts of ending her life. I told to seek help and that I love her and I don’t judge if she needs someone to talk to.
Earlier this weekend I had another friend tell me that he is all alone and nobody cares and doesn’t know what or where to go or do. Why you ask am I saying this well... I believe that God put each of us on this journey to be a ear, a open heart ,or arms to wrap the hurting. We need to pray for the people that receive this news and have the right words to help them and get them the professional guidance. Love God and love neighbor. We don’t have to agree but we can Christ’s example. Loving the outcasts and being there for them. I love you so much Hollydale and grateful for each of you. God is good and near to the broken hearted.
Thanks for letting me share my heart!!
Help someone and tell them that you genuinely love them.
Fred
