Prayer Request

From Susan Davis:

Please keep Erv Koehler in your prayers. Erv is the fiancé of my daughter’s friend Samantha (aka Sam) and over the weekend while working on his family’s home in North Carolina, Erv fell off the roof and was taken by helicopter to the nearest hospital. He has a fractured spine and some fractured ribs, torn muscles and bruised lung, but has no head trauma, which was their main concern. He was released from the hospital to come home to Atlanta for recuperation, which can take several weeks with his injuries. Prayers for comfort, healing and recovery for Erv, and patience for Sam as she cares for him during his recovery and has her future in-laws at their home to help as well. Thank you.

Prayer Request

From Susan Davis

Please keep Susan Smith-Barthel in your prayers. Susan is a friend of my daughter who lives in Alabama and was in the ER yesterday for what she thought was a pinched nerve, but was later released to go home. She took a nap and upon waking up, she didn’t know where she was, couldn’t communicate, disoriented and very high blood pressure. Taken back to the hospital and had CT scan, EKG and blood work and waiting on answers. Prayers for answers, comfort and healing. Thank you.

Update

I’m sadden to share Beth’s post about Mary this morning. Mary passed away peacefully this morning at 7:35 am. Please continue to keep Beth and Carey and Mary’s extended family and friends in your prayers as they grieve the loss of such an amazing woman. Thank you.

Facebook post from Beth…..

At 7:35 this morning mom and dad were reunited. I wasn't quite ready to make this announcement just yet but that decision was taken out of my control. I can be angry, and initially I was. But, it just shows how BIG her world is and how many people have been touched by her. When I think of that, I can’t feel anything but blessed to have my mom leave such a legacy of life and love.

I was blessed to have been by her side, holding her hand as she took her final breath. I wouldn't trade it for anything in the world.

Please understand if I don't respond to anyone right away. I'm just finding my way through this new life path.

Update

Please continue to keep Mary Justice and her daughter Beth in your prayers. Mary has been blessed by all the cards, flowers, food and visits over the past several days. Beth shared this evening that they are going to hold off on any visitors for the next few days as Mary's strength is diminishing and she needs to rest. We ask that you continue to keep Mary in your prayers for comfort and peace and Beth for strength as she cares for her mother. Your prayers are being felt by them so please continue to pray. Thank you.

Update

Update on Cindy Northrop from Carole Shelburne. Please continue to keep Cindy and Carole in your prayers.

Hi Susan. Just want to give an update on Cindy. She had her operation on Friday and is doing well. Everything went as well as could be hoped for during the procedure and the drs were able to more than was planned. Want to thank all of you who have been and continue to keep us in your prayers.

Update

Unplanned update on Mary E Justice from Her daughter Beth

Please keep her in your prayers

Today did not go as planned. I got home from church and noticed mom had jaundice and that along with recent stomach swelling had me concerned. After phoning Kaiser advice nurse, we took her to their comprehensive care center. They ran repeat bloodwork and found that her liver numbers had grown worse from last Wednesday. They were apparently already high last Wednesday but no one bothered to inform us of that. 😡🤬 An MRI confirmed that a mass was actually blocking a bill duct. She is in the process of being admitted to Emory St. Joseph tonight. She will have surgery tomorrow to have a stent placed to open the bile duct. She is not happy with this decision. She is in pain as she always is after having a scan done as it hurts her to lie flat on her back for that extended amount of time. I will update when we know more.
