Prayer Request

From Susan Davis:

Please keep my sister Nena Kelly and her family in your prayers. My brother-in-law David has been in ICU on a respirator for several days and they have been told he will not recover and would have to spend the rest of his life on the respirator and undergo dialysis to stay alive. They have made the decision to remove the respirator and say their goodbyes. They have three children along with spouses and grandchildren. David is 70 years old and has suffered with COPD and emphysema for a few years. Thank you for your prayers. Prayers for comfort and peace in the decision they have made.

Update

Update on Nancy Brubaker

An update my dad posted regarding my mom for those who are asking:

A Nancy Smith Brubaker update:

After a MRI to assess Nancy’s neck injuries, she was transported to the University of Cincinnati medical center for surgical intervention.

A plate will be used to stabilize the fractured C2 vertebrae to either or both the C1 and C3vertebrae as the C2 anterior ligament was torn and has limited accessibility for repair.

I have spoken with two of the attending residents who will be in attendance to observe the procedure. ( No touching!) I have not seen the orthopedic surgeon as of yet but have assessed his credentials and reviews. (Stephen Agabegi) The surgery has been assigned as an add-on which means, whenever a time slot opens. The procedure will take 2-3 hours. Unsure of the recovery time or time before travel to home. More prayers requested for good outcome and pain management.

Please keep Gail Black’s sister Mary in your prayers. Gail sent the message below regarding her sister’s struggles. Pray for comfort and healing. Thank you.

Mary has Bone marrow cancer. She will get blood transfusions and start Chemo This Thursday or Friday. She is on oxygen and also has a fractured left hip. Thanks for continued prayers for Mary, her husband Bill and their family.

Prayer Request from Susan Davis

Please keep my brother in law, David Kelly, in your prayers. He was taken by ambulance this morning due to his COPD and emphysema and is in ICU in Columbus. The doctor told my sister, who can’t be at the hospital due to Covid rules, that he went into cardiac arrest but he was able to revive him. Prayers for David, the medical team and my sister for answers and healing. Thank you.

Prayer Request

From Susan Davis:

Please keep Alicia Whitley (aka Aunt Sissy to my daughter). She has worked for a very prominent home building supply company for 25-30 years in their corporate accounting department. An announcement was recently sent out that the company was reorganizing and most of the accounting functions will be moved to India and she may lose her job, but won’t know until after the first of the year. This is very scary for her as this is the only job she’s had since finishing school. She is interviewing tomorrow to try and obtain a position to stay with the company. She asked for prayers for the situation and that God protects her and allows her to stay with the company. Thank you.

Please keep my friend Kim Clements and her family in your prayers. Kim’s husband and a very close friend of mine, Harry, passed away early this morning after almost of a decade of battling Alzheimer’s. Harry was 74 years old. I worked with Harry for 30+ years as he was our CFO and Partner at my company and a mentor to me in my career. He retired in 2013,and then he and Kim moved to Gulf Shores to enjoy life at the beach. He was a highly respected partner and businessman with a kind heart and was truly dedicated to his career and family. Please pray for comfort and peace for Kim and her two adult children, Chris & Alexandra, as they travel through this time of grief. Thank you.

Update

Update on Cindy Northrop from Carole. Please continue to keep Cindy (and Carole) in your prayers as they continue through this difficulty journey. Thank you.

Susan I have an update on Cindy following her pet scan. There is some new cancer detected on her bones. The Dr says it isn't too bad and she will not have to take iv kemo. However they are changing her meds to include a kemo that is given by injection. She has to get over the virus infection before they will start the new treatment. They are giving her two weeks for that. Thank you all for your prayers 🙏 ❤ and love. Couldn't have gotten this far without you.

I received the update below from Sharon Kirby on her brother and sister-in-law. Please continue to keep them both in your prayers as they battle their medical issues. Pray for the medical team caring for them and for comfort and healing. Thank you.

My brother is doing better, but he is still in ICU and listed as critical. My sister-in-law is somewhat better now (she was taken by ambulance back to the regional hospital 🏥 n Sunday). They hope to move her to rehab soon. Prayers are still needed. Thank Sharon

Update

Update to prayer request….

Beth’s heart was fine and her BP slowly went down. No BP meds prescribed at this time. All test they did were normal, except some lung issues from being a smoker in her earlier life, which they referred her to a pulmonary doctor. Thanks to all who prayed.

Please keep my son Paul’s girlfriend Beth in your prayers. She got up this morning with tightness in her chest snd tingling arms. Paramedics were called and she is at Cobb Wellstar being checked out. Her BP was extremely high at 254 / 100 something. It has dropped to 159/85 which is getting better but a scary and dangerous situation for her. Prayers for answers. Thank you.
